# Tekr

> Tekr is an industrial automation and AI engineering studio in Kalmar, Sweden — PLC, HMI and TIA Portal engineering, custom software, and intelligent agents, embedded with the teams who run the systems we build.

Founded in 2024 by Edvin Gottfredsson, an automation engineer based in Kalmar, Sweden with experience across Swedish manufacturing and process industry (pulp & paper, automotive, food, water treatment). Legal name TEKR AB, Swedish organisation number 559478-7805. The studio's core is industrial automation — expert-level PLC and HMI programming in Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC; experienced with CoDeSys, Rockwell RSLogix 5000, Mitsubishi GX Works2, Wonderware InTouch and iFIX SCADA; plus Siemens Motion Control, robot-cell integration (ABB, Yaskawa), electrical design, safety programming and commissioning. That depth extends into software & AI (custom applications and intelligent agents embedded in real workflows), systems & integration, and strategy & architecture.

Engagements take three forms: bounded build (a defined deliverable shipped end-to-end), long-term partner (embedded over months across multiple build cycles), and strategy & architecture (advisory and technical leadership without owning the build). Based in Kalmar, serving clients across Sweden and the EU, on site or hybrid.

Reference engagement: twelve months embedded at Södra Cell Mönsterås, Södra's pulp mill in Mönsterås, Sweden — a new control system programmed and commissioned for the TM5 baling line, plus drives, optimization, and punch-list work across the two TM4 baling lines. Result: higher production capacity and steadier operation, with systems built to be maintained by the mill's own team.
